COOL SMALL LUCKY ELEPHANT
OAXACA WOOD CARVING
BY THE HIGHLY TALENTED ARTIST ROBERTA ANGELES
WONDERFUL WORK IN AN ECONOMICAL PIECE!
What an adorable little lucky elephant! Full of detail for an affordable piece! Perfect for any elephant or Oaxacan wood carving lovers. We appreciate the colorful floral motif in the design, the carved details in the ears, and the adorable big eyes. This little guy was hand carved from the traditional Copal wood, and hand painted by Roberta Angeles. Roberta is the sister to the famous master carver Jacobo Angeles. Talent truly runs in this family! It has been a true pleasure to get to know Roberta Angeles over the years. She takes great pride in her work, and crafts many delightful and whimsical animal figures. We are consistently drawn to her high quality craftsmanship. She has been featured at many museums throughout the United States, including the Heard Museum, National Museum of Mexican Art and the Autry. The tail is removable for safe shipping and the elephant is signed by the artist.
