  • Condition: Fair-Good overall antique cond: Very scarce & still in fairly well-preserved overall antique cond. This European, late 19th-early 20th c lg litho'd enamel faux book box has a few surface scuffs & abrasions but is largely undamaged. There are no seam fractures, noticeable dings or dents in its sidewalls or body. There's only a sm pinch or crease on the bottom front of the tin. The faux book box is med szd, measuring 8 1⁄4" in height by 6 1⁄4" in width by 2 3⁄4" in depth. It has gold pg ends which resemble the dec edging of real books. The spine is rounded, giving the faux book box the impression it's a real book, w/a lifted, curved leather-bound spine. The cover of the faux book box features what appears to be a royal Scandinavian woman or queen, possibly Norwegian, in elegant period costume, w/gathered blond hair in balls on each side of her head. There's a fancy, highly detailed brass ornamental book clasp on the right edge. A wonderful antique tin, faux book box. Very handsome. Rare.
